Packing Tips

Faulty or improper packing has the potential to disrupt your move. Faulty packing may result in huge financial loss. Remember this seemingly simple process, has many technicalities involved in it. Hence, never experiment much with packing.

Packing requires a lot of planning. Various objects have various packing needs. Packing needs of an aquarium are different from that of computer. Always pack breakable material like glassware, cutlery, art objects, mirrors etc. with Special Packing Material. Furniture and heavy objects should be tightly packed with heavy Packing materials.

Pack clothes and mattresses in cartons. Procure cartons from your Mover or from a grocer. Cartons that you choose, must be strong enough to last through the journey. Check for the damages on them before buying.

Always plan before you start packing. Start packing before the due date, so that you have ample time and never rush through it. Make a list of all your belongings you have and categorize them into sections like the ones you need, the stuff you can store, the ones which you can sell, and the ones that you need to discard. Make sure you complete this job before you start packing.

When packing crockery, glassware etc., pack them tightly in cartons, stuffed with a lot of paper. Remember to pack them upright. Mark the cartons 'fragile,' if they contain breakable stuff. Number and name the cartons to avoid confusion while loading and unloading.
